Introduction
This document explains the version numbering schema used by awDebugger and provides a roadmap that outlines in broad terms the development path of awDebugger for the near future.
Version Convention
awDebugger release versioning follows a numerical convention comprised of four numbers: Major, Minor, Maintenance and Build. The version is usually presented in the major.minor[.maintenance] format.
Major Release Number (X.1.1.111)
An increment of the major number usually indicates significant improvements and new features were added, probably including a major rework or rewrite of the code base.
Minor Release Number (1.X.1.111)
An increment of the minor number usually indicates new features were added in this release.
Maintenance Release Number (1.1.X.111)
An increment of the maintenance number usually indicates bug fixing within the minor release and possibly only small or cosmetic enhancements.
Build Release Number (1.1.1.XXX)
This is the internal number that identifies an awDebugger release.
